There were opportunities to makes ties to Huna which would have been helpful. Anyone who has been serious about the martial arts for a significant amount of time can relate to Ninomiya's life story.
Before beginning his study of kyokushin karate at the age of 15, Ninomiya practiced judo. The story is what carried this book for me I skimmed most of the sex in this one.
On another note there's plenty of fodder for writing at that jump station it sounds like it could be a wild ride . For those of you fellow readers that don't like to read a lot, let me summarize my review: "Do-Overs" is a page-turner and the writing is funny, honest, and best of all totally unexpected!! This book deserves more reads since it is in my opinion better than A House of Night novels, better than Twilight in so many ways. Healthy faith means we learn to listen to God and to know God is listening to us. I
