About the Author
Ron Russo is the former Chief Naturalist of the East Bay Regional Park District; has been diving in Hawaii since 1979; is the author of Pacific Coast Fishes, Pacific Intertidal Life, Pacific Coast Mammals, Mountain States Mammals, and Plant Galls of California and other Western States. His photographs have appeared in SEA FRONTIERS, SKINDIVER, OCEANS, and NATURAL HISTORY Magazines.

And a long-term love I envy that too.
But I think by far the most important aspect of this book, at least for me, is that it is the perfect example of the destructive power of fundamentalist Christian teaching, as far as concerns gay issues. No gay person I know would ever have chosen to be gay, particularly given the hate and venom directed at gay people. Overall, this book really impressed me and fulfilled my expectation. It may be a little to wild for some, but I'd give it a shot just because Monette Michaels wrote it.
